RACE DAY: Yes, race day entries are welcome! Race day registration & check-in will take place in Browntown between 7:45 AM and 8:45 AM. If you really want one of our 2023 beanies, show up earlier than later because our supply of remaining beanies is very limited and we are likely to run out! But if we do run out, you automatically get to pay the lower "no beanie" fee as noted below. (If you want to save yourself a few seconds at the registration table, feel free to print out an entry form, fill it out in advance, and bring it with you on race morning. Cash or checks only; we can't process credit cards in Browntown. Checks should be payable to "Karsten Brown". See the sidebar at right for links to entry forms in various formats.)

If you'd like a black beanie (a.k.a. knit hat) embroidered with the race logo in silver, the base entry fees are $30 in advance or $40 on race day.

Without the beanie, it's $24 in advance or $34 on race day (so basically $6 off).

Members of the Shenandoah Valley Runners may take a $2 discount (thus paying $28 early or $38 on race day with the beanie, or $22 early/$32 race day without the beanie). SVR members registering online should make sure they are logged into RunSignup using the account associated with their SVR membership, and the discount will apply automatically. What the 2023 beanie will look like

Note: Entries are non-refundable and non-transferable (more info), although limited exceptions to the "no refund" policy may be made on a case-by-case basis in the event of illness, as we don't want sick runners participating in the race (more info).

Additional 2023 black beanies may be purchased for $10 each while supplies last! Again, we're likely to run out of black beanies on race morning. We are sold out of leftover forest green beanies as well as "20th annual" pint glasses from 2018, but we do still have a couple remaining orange beanies from 2022 that will be available for $5 each.

Although Greasy-Gooney has never been intended as a fundraiser, we will be donating any & all proceeds from the 2023 race to the Browntown Community Center Association and the Humane Society of Warren County. (Each received $418.42 last year thanks to the generosity of our Greasy-Gooney participants!)
