RACE DAY: Yes, we will take entries on race morning! Race day registration & check-in will take place in Browntown between 7:45 AM and 8:45 AM. If you want to save yourself a few seconds at the registration table, feel free to print out an entry form, fill it out in advance, and bring it with you on race morning! Check or cash only; we cannot process credit cards or other electronic payments in Browntown. Checks should be payable to "Karsten Brown". See the sidebar at right for links to entry forms in various formats.

If you'd like a forest green running cap embroidered with the race logo in bright green, the base entry fees are $30 in advance or $40 on race day. We are now sold out of caps!

Without the running cap, it's $24 in advance or $34 on race day (so basically $6 off).

Members of the Shenandoah Valley Runners may take a $2 discount (thus paying $28 early or $38 on race day with the running cap, or $22 early/$32 race day without the running cap). SVR members registering online should make sure they are logged into RunSignup using the account associated with their SVR membership, and the discount will apply automatically. What the 2025 running cap looks like

Note: Entries are non-refundable and non-transferable (more info), although limited exceptions to the "no refund" policy may be made on a case-by-case basis in the event of illness, as we don't want sick runners participating in the race (more info).

While supplies last, additional 2025 forest green running caps may be purchased for $10 each, and leftover 2024 royal blue beanies (a.k.a. knit hats) are available for $5 each.

Although Greasy-Gooney has never been intended as a fundraiser, we will be donating any & all proceeds from the 2025 race to the Browntown Community Center Association and the Humane Society of Warren County. (Each received $508.56 last year thanks to the generosity of our Greasy-Gooney participants!)
