RACE DAY RUNNER GUIDE
If you're planning on participating on Saturday, please take a couple minutes to peruse our Race Day Runner Guide so that you'll know what to expect on race day!

There are four ways to sign up for the Greasy-Gooney 10K:

ONLINE: Online registration is available through imATHLETE.com until 11:59 PM EDT on Thursday 25 October (two days before the race). Note that you will not have to pay any additional processing fees to sign up online! Also, you do not have to create a special user account with imATHLETE in order to sign up; just make sure you uncheck the "create account" box during the registration process if you don't want to create an account with them. (And don't bother looking for any coupon/discount codes for Greasy-Gooney, because we don't offer any.)

(If you encounter any problems with online registration, get in touch with the race director.)

BY MAIL: Just print up an entry form, write out a check, and send 'em both to us! See the sidebar at right for printable entry forms in either PDF or HTML format. Checks should be payable to "Karsten Brown". Please don't mail your form any later than, say, Monday 22 October, to ensure that we get it in time.

IN PERSON: You can hand your form & check directly to race director Karsten Brown if you see him at an upcoming race!

RACE DAY: Race day registration will take place in Browntown between 7:45 AM and 8:45 AM.

Entry fees
If you'd like a black beanie (a.k.a. knit hat) embroidered with the race logo in gold, the base entry fees are $20 in advance or $25 on race day.

Without the beanie, it's $12 in advance or $17 on race day (so basically $8 off).

Members of the Shenandoah Valley Runners may take a $2 discount (thus paying $18 early or $23 on race day with the beanie, or $10 early/$15 race day without the beanie), while members of other eligible Virginia, Maryland, and DC running clubs may take a $1 discount (thus paying $19 early or $24 on race day with the beanie, or $11 early/$16 race day without the beanie).

Our awesome 2018 black & gold beanie!

(Eligible clubs: Annapolis Striders, Baltimore Road Runners Club, Chesapeake Bay Running Club, Frederick Steeplechasers Running Club, Fredericksburg Area Running Club, Howard County Striders, Loudoun Road Runners Club, Montgomery County Road Runners Club, Potomac Valley Track Club, Prince George's Running Club, Reston Runners, Shenandoah Valley Track Club, South Riding Running Club, Tidal Basin Run, Virginia Happy Trails Running Club, Westminster Road Runners Club, 50 Plus Club)

Additional embroidered beanies may be purchased for $10 each, while supplies last! We'll post updates here if our stock starts running low. We also have some leftover beanies from previous years (including 2017's navy blue beanies and 2016's maroon beanies) for $5 each. Once they're gone, they're gone!

Note: Entries are non-refundable and non-transferable (more info). One club discount per runner; discounts cannot be combined. U.S. currency only. And no, you can't get an extra beanie on race day if you left your money back in your car and you promise to pay us later.

Charitable donation
This year we're also inviting you to make a donation to the Humane Society of Warren County! After his experiences this year with taking in a sick & abandoned cat, the race director would like to try and raise a few bucks for the HSWC to help other area animals in need. You'll be presented with the option to make a donation when you register for the race, but if you'd feel more comfortable donating directly to the Humane Society of Warren County instead (we don't mind at all!), head on over to their web site to do so. Donating is entirely optional and is separate from your race entry fee; 100% of your donation made via the Greasy-Gooney 10K will go to the HSWC. E-mail the race director if you have any questions, comments, or concerns!
