2025 Registration Information |
ONLINE: Online registration is available through RunSignup until 11:59 PM EDT on Wednesday 22 October (three days before the race) or as soon as we reach 140 registrants, whichever comes first. Note that you will not have to pay any additional processing fees to sign up online! BY MAIL: Because we know there are a few folks out there who remain uncomfortable with online transactions, we will continue to accept mail-in registrations as well. Just print up an entry form, write out a check, and send 'em both to us! See the sidebar at right for printable entry forms in either PDF or HTML format. (The PDF form is preferred, as it prints on a single 8½" by 11" sheet of paper.) Checks should be payable to "Karsten Brown". Please don't mail your form any later than, say, Saturday 18 October, to ensure that we get it in time. RACE DAY: If we have not reached our 140-registrant limit by the close of online registration, we will accept race day sign-ups in Browntown between about 7:45 AM and 8:45 AM. Check or cash only; we cannot process credit cards or other electronic payments in Browntown. Entry fees If you'd like a forest green running cap embroidered with the race logo in bright green, the base entry fees are $30 in advance or $40 on race day. ![]() Without the running cap, it's $24 in advance or $34 on race day (so basically $6 off). ![]()
![]() (Sorry, we've discontinued the old $1 discounts for members of other running clubs, just to simplify things for ourselves [more info].) ![]() Note: Entries are non-refundable and non-transferable (more info), although limited exceptions to the "no refund" policy may be made on a case-by-case basis in the event of illness, as we don't want sick runners participating in the race (more info). ![]() While supplies last, additional 2025 forest green running caps may be purchased for $10 each, and leftover 2024 royal blue beanies (a.k.a. knit hats) are available for $5 each. Race beneficiaries Although Greasy-Gooney has never been intended as a fundraiser, we will be donating any & all proceeds from the 2025 race to the Browntown Community Center Association and the Humane Society of Warren County. (Each received $508.56 last year thanks to the generosity of our Greasy-Gooney participants!) If you feel like making an additional donation directly to the HSWC to help area animals in need, just head to their web site and click on "Donate"! |
